Encontre Coordenador De Projetos www.Catho.com.br/Informatica 1930年代ごろまでカイピーラ音楽とサンバの間にはある程度の交流があったが、カイピーラには郷土性が刻印され、サンバには国民性が刻印された。これは知識人、そして政府がアフロブラジル文化を国民文化に選出した結果である。都会の知識階層(基本的に白人集団)は既にヨーロッパや北米の生活スタイルに同化していて、ブラジルらしさを求めた時に、国内の他者に担わせるしかなかった。カーニバルを最大の大衆的で国民的な大行事とするサンバは、ジルベルト・フレイレほか当時の知識人がヨーロッパから文化的独立をはかる時の切り札となった。エルマノ・ヴィアナの『サンバの神秘』が適確に論じているように、リオ政府も黒人ないし黒人と白人の混血層(ムラート)を真正なるブラジル国民(povo brasileiro)と讃えることで、彼ら貧困層の愛国心を高めようとした。リオの風物を讃えたサンバは極めて多いが、それがブラジルを讃えることになる解釈の仕掛けが生まれた。 さて解きがたいパラドックスが起こる。ある文化が異文化と交渉をもつことが少ないほど、2つの文化は互いに壊されることも少なくなる。しかし他方、このような状態では、2つの文化がそれぞれ送りこむ使者たちは、異文化の多様性のゆたかさと意義を把握する可能性も少なくなる。そこで逃れられない二者択一が起こる。私は古代の旅人として驚異的な光景──しかしそのほとんど全部が私たちには理解できず、実際嘲りや嫌悪さえ覚えそうな光景──に面と向かうか、そうでなければ現代の旅人として、消滅してしまった現実を探し求めて走りまわるか、である。どちらの道をとるにせよ、私は敗北者になる……なぜなら今日、さまざまな幻影のなかを私が呻吟しながら行くとき、現に起こりつつある光景のほうを、否応なしに見落としてしまうことになるのだから。 ────『悲しき熱帯より』
